French bistro tea towel
- Century-old manufacture
- 100% linen
- Very soft touch
This French tea towel is a classic of popular bistros. The red-squares design is a pattern called Lustucru. Lustucru is a famous and popular brand in France: it's a century old French pasta brand whose logo was made with little squares. An emblem of the French culture!
It is 100% made of linen and woven by Charvet, a French linen brand existing since 1866. The texture is so soft thanks to the thickness of the fabric (11.3 oz/yd² - 380 g/m²). Plus, the linen fabric is hypoallergenic, antibacterial, resistant, and absorbent (it absorbs up to 20% of dampness without feeling wet).

Brand story
Brand story
Charvet is one of the last linen mills in Armentieres, existing since 1866. 155 years of a genuine know-how. Charvet linen experts pursue this long history, and they are nowadays considered as the leading French manufacturer of industrial fabrics in natural materials.
Charvet designs and produces high-quality linens for home and decoration: kitchen-towels, aprons, table linens, bed linens and accessories (bags, pillows). The common trait: traditional yet elegant designs on thick and soft fabrics.
Their linens are made in noble materials, linen and cotton, with French traditional designs and patterns. They are mainly in neutral color (white, beige, taupe, and gray) and also in the 2 French emblematic colors: blue and red (as on the French flag). Charvet linens are the typical French country houses linens!
