My Paris Favorites - June 15, 2024

Bonjour!

Only 41 days to go until the Summer Olympics in Paris! Last week, the Olympic rings arrived and were installed on the Eiffel Tower. I took some time on Wednesday to go see them myself. Splendid, right?

I'm particularly excited because some new tickets were released recently, and I managed to get tickets for Beach Volleyball in front of the Eiffel Tower and Fencing at the Grand Palais.

By the way, I was wondering if any of my readers are coming for the Olympics. If you are, let me know! I'd be thrilled to meet you in Paris!

❤️ My latest favorites in Paris

With the better weather (though it doesn't quite feel like summer yet), I've been enjoying my weekend trips to the markets again. Here are 3 Parisian markets I love to stroll through:

  • Place Monge: My favorite! This cute little market in a small square has everything. Just look at the locals queuing up, and you can be sure many of the food stands are real gems.
  • Bastille (Boulevard Richard Lenoir): A large market where it's pleasant to stroll. In my opinion, it has the best flower shop, especially for peonies. Excellent prices and the peonies last for a record two weeks – what a delight!
  • Place Maubert: A market with a vibrant, bubbling atmosphere. Delicious food stalls stand side by side with renowned delicatessens.
