My Paris Favorites - June 1, 2024

Bonjour bonjour!

May has been a unique month. First, it was the rainiest May in Paris since 1922! We hardly saw the sky all month. I must admit, I'm a bit desperate. As a summer enthusiast, I usually start enjoying my terrace from the end of March, but this year I’ve barely used it.

Second, I’ve had some health issues... I caught COVID! Running a business on your own while sick is incredibly challenging. Honestly, I’m not sure how I managed to fulfill all the orders during those days when I was unwell. But, all the customers received their orders on time. Hooray!

Now that I'm back in top form, let's dive into some Paris inspirations and top places to visit.

 My inspirations of the moment

The season of brocantes (pop up flea markets during weekends) is now officially open. My favorite is Rue de Bretagne in the Marais neighborhood, but I couldn't go... literally. I strained my left leg and had to stay in bed (definitely having bad luck with health lately).

Here is my selection of interesting articles about flea markets in Paris:

And this morning, on my favorite morning TV show, Telematin, they featured a lawyer who has become an antiques dealer. She hunts for and restores old objects, mainly wooden furniture. Check out her Instagram account, her videos are super fun!

Rue Belleville has been selected among the 30 coolest streets in the world. So, I went for a little visit this Thursday.

What's really cool is that when you step out of the Pyrénées metro, you get a fantastic view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.

I then had lunch at Cadoret, an old bistro-style restaurant with refined and delicious French cuisine at a fantastic price (starter + main + dessert for 22€ at lunch). Highly recommended!

I didn't have time to explore more, but I'll definitely be back to find new top spots.
