My Paris Favorites - July 26, 2024
Bonjour!
Here we are, the Paris Summer Olympics are starting! Today, I attended the training session for my volunteering role at the Tennis competition at Roland Garros stadium. There were 1500 volunteers from all over France and around the world, representing 67 nationalities. I start my mission on Saturday as an event services member, which means I'll be welcoming and assisting visitors.
Before that, I have the fantastic opportunity to attend the opening ceremony tomorrow (Friday). It will take place along the river Seine, with more than 80 boats featuring athletes and artists. It's going to be spectacular! I'll be sharing photos and videos live on my Instagram account. Stay tuned!
❤️ My latest favorites in Paris
I was invited by the Paris Tourist Office to visit Monnaie de Paris, a museum and coinage factory. It offers a fascinating blend of history and manufacturing. There's currently an exhibition on the history of the Olympic medal, which is truly captivating! I was amazed by the rich history behind the medals and the extensive collection on display. Soon, the Paris medals will be exhibited here, as Monnaie de Paris is the official factory making them.
I highly recommend this museum, even for kids. My 5-year-old nephew loves coins, and I can't wait to bring him. There are many workshops where you can touch the machines and test the tools. There's even a photo booth that engraves your profile on a coin—he's going to love it!

When I visited last year, I found it charming but felt it could benefit from more extensive content about Van Gogh to enhance the visitor experience.
